Closing Windows

Hello People

I have  a progress programs which talks to WInFax Pro to send faxes. While 
sending attachments via win fax it opens the associated program, but leaves 
it running even after it finishes. How could I close these program.
Only in formation I will know is that it would be an acrobar reader.  I 
suppose I could use FindWindowA and find the handle of the application
Then may be use CloseWindow , but this will only minimized the window. If I 
were to use the API on global-shared - How do I get the PID from application 
name.
