For addresses and other cases where you have multiple lines that can be
considered one unit, it often makes sense to display them in an editor
widget instead of multiple fill-ins. Then if you make the editor
enabled but read-only (instead of disabled) users will have the Select
All and Copy options available to them.

Subject: General Copy/Paste (and other) questions
I need to add the ability to copy/paste fields from my P4GL forms.
For example, there is an address block made up of 8-12 fields that are
displayed with black letters on a white background.
I can find no way with Progress widgets that would allow a user to lasso
one or more lines and then copy them to another window.
The ability to do this without a mouse (as in a normal window) using the
shift, home, end, and cursor keys is also required.
Not having used an OCX yet, I haven't the slightest idea if such a thing
exists that would work in a Progress window.
I've looked at the CodeJock website - certainly some interesting things,
but I don't see anything that looks like it would simply display data
in a consistent "windows" fashion.
I'm guessing most other windows development tools already do this, so it
isn't necessary to purchase special software.
Could someone point me in a direction that would allow me to create
simple data entry/data display windows that perform like a normal
window's application?
Thanks,
Eric
