Have you looked into AutoCAD add-ins?
Do a Google on using this: build autocad drawing from flat file of
coordinates
And you get a good number of hits.

Subject: OCX to draw lines

Hi Peggers,

I'm figuring out if I can do the following case :
In a application I fill-in coordinates, i.e. draw line from 10,10 to
100,100; draw line from 100,100 to 200,100. So all these coordinates are
stored in the database. At the same time I need a visual view of all the
coordinates. It's like drawing in autocad.
Does anyone know if such a ocx exists ? I've googled for it, but I
always find ocx'en to draw charts, ... but not a visual view of lines.
The business logic is that we want to draw pipelines and then we can
make a list of the material we need. The visual view is only to check if
the coordinates are ok.
